http://www.theeverafters.com . Questions answered by Jaux(vocals). 1)How did the name The Everafters come about, and why that name? Is there any special meaning behind it? Actually, the band was already named when I joined. from what I understand, it was the product of a lot of time spent wrestling around with it. there were lots of suggestions, but I think the one we ended up with was fortunate. I'll admit, at first I wasn’t into it, but it grows on you. 2.)Who were some of your musical influences growing up? my first taste was Metallica. I loved it. my parents hated it. it was perfect. being an agnst ridden teen of the nineties, nirvana was an obvious one. I later got into a lot of really kind of obscure stuff, like a band from the late nineties called failure. I'm starting to get more into the local scene as I meet and play w/ more bands. I'm a huge 100 watt opera fan, they’re great guys. I also really dig pilot’s lounge and of course the beauty school dropouts. they’re like brothers to us, and they’re really smart guys too. 3.)What is your favorite song to play live and why? all of our new stuff is a blast to play live. it’s the kind of stuff that puts the fire into you. as for the old stuff, I'd have to say ‘leave’. I know it’s cliché, but it’s really cool to have people singing that one back to us. it’s no doubt our most personal song, so it feels good to know that people have latched onto it. 4.)What are some of your favorite venues to play at live and why? 12th & porter is great, and the mercy lounge is rad too. I like to climb around on stuff a lot when we play, so that’s my main thing. I'm less worried about the stuff most guys worry about at a venue, and more concerned with “what is there for me to climb all over?” I think the acrobatics are what set our live show apart from the others in Nashville. 5.)What can we expect to hear from the Everafters in the future? we’re working on our e.p. right now. it will hopefully see the light of day after the first of the year. other than that, we’ll continue to tighten up and write. we’re looking to play a lot more in Nashville for the first little bit of 2006, so hopefully everybody will get a chance to come out and kick it with us. 6.)
